Dear Caden,
You are half a year old today! I am so glad that God chose me to be your mommy! You are my sunshine at the end of a crappy day! I hate leaving you every morning to go to work, but I look forward to seeing your little smile when I walk in the door every afternoon!
My how you have changed in the past six months! You have gained 11+ lbs and 7+ inches in height since you were born. Your hair and eyebrows are thicker now, and your grey blue eyes are beginning to turn brown like mommy's! You got your first two teeth this week, though they are just barely poking through! You are even trying to crawl, though you haven't figured out how to actually move forward!
You are such a happy boy (most of the time!), and are always smiling! You love to eat baby food, and especially love sweet potatoes! You are grabbing for mommy & daddy's drinks (No coffee for you yet!) and open your little mouth wide when we have food in our hands. You love to play in your exersaucer and especially love to smack the frog on the head! You learned how to actually jump in the exersaucer and you are pretty proud of yourself! Especially when mommy and daddy say "Good job!"...you bounce even more then!
You sleep through the night most nights, though with you teething, some nights you wake up. You moved out of your rock n play sleeper 2 weeks ago and we unswaddled you. You did pretty good! Now you sleep on your tummy in the pack n play, mostly cause mommy is to much of a baby to put you WAAAYYYY upstairs in your crib all by yourself! You are probably much braver than mommy! You have also learned to kick. Some mornings I wake up to the sound of you kicking your legs against the mattress in your bed.
You also have been going into the nursery at church! You were coming in with mommy and daddy, but you were getting a little too wiggly and sometimes loud, so last week was your first week and you did great! You are the cutest baby in there!
You are such a sweet boy with the cutest personality! I love to hear you laugh, more than anything! I do all kinds of crazy things to try and get you to laugh. You laugh the most when I open my mouth really wide and make a surprised face. You also laugh when I pretend to eat your baby food, or when I tickle your little fat thighs!
You will never know how much mommy and daddy love you until you have a little baby of your own one day! (A LONG TIME FROM NOW!!!) You have brought more joy and love to our lives! We can't wait to watch you grow, and learn! Daddy can't wait to play basketball with you! Mommy can't wait to teach you to cook (it is important to learn how to cook!). Happy 6 months little boy!
