I am 28 weeks pregnant today, which means that in 12 weeks give or take, my little boy will be here! It is unbelievable to me! Even though I feel him everyday, many times a day, sometimes I still have a moment of "wait, there is a tiny person growing inside me?" I can't wait to meet him and to see what he looks like.
Like I said, he is moving a ton. Now I feel like he has traded kicking for rolling around and changing positions, maybe because he is getting bigger and there is less room in there? He has kicked/rolled for his daddy on several occasions recently! I even wake up to little thumps on either side of my belly!
The nursery is underway, with a few projects left that I have specifically reserved for the summer to give me something to do when I start getting antsy! My mom and mom-in-law painted the nursery back at the beginning of May and we got the crib put together and the dresser put together. I painted my owl canvases and love them! Now I still have to get a rocker, make some curtains, and put his name somewhere on the wall. I also need to totally organize his closet. This kid has a TON of clothes already. I try not to look at baby clothes when I am out, because he honestly needs nothing until he is about 12 months. I joke about doing costume changes daily to circulate all of his outfits! I know pooping, peeing and spitting up with take care of having to do the costume changes!
Overall, pregnancy has been good to me. Other than my sciatic joint pain back in the 2nd trimester, I feel fantastic. I am now into the third tri, and the only complaint I have now is that the belly is getting larger and can make things like bending down to say shave the legs, or vacuum under the couch a little uncomfortable. Also, finding a good sleeping position is sometimes annoying, which may force me to purchase one of the ginormous pregnancy pillows. Oh well!
Here is my latest bumppicture and a couple pictures of the nursery!
Bump at 27 weeks 2 days
Crib with bedding and my paintings (yes I painted them!)
Up close of the owls!
Painted these too!
