My how I've grown!

I officially look pregnant! I had a stranger ask me when I was due...so that means...yep, I no longer just look pudgy in the middle, but pregnant. I actually like looking pregnant! I don't love looking for maternity clothes, but whatever. I did find a few things at Bells Outlet the other day, and am still wearing some of my pre-preg pants with the zipper zipped and the button undone and folded in. They are only snug in the tummy! : ) I think I have officially upped my total weight gain to 5 lbs. It is kind of surprising, because in my opinion, it looks like a whole lot more when you look at the bump!

Caden is moving everyday more and more! I love sitting still with my top pulled up over my belly so I can see my belly, and sometimes watch it jump! Sometimes when my seatbelt is snug across my tummy or my laptop is resting on it he kicks as if to say "Hey, Get that off me!"

I am so blessed to have an awesome pregnancy. I feel great! I am tired sometimes, but I think it is more that I have been really busy recently than it is because I am pregnant. Jared is hosting a spring basketball league at Mitchell, and so I am there running concessions on Mon. & Wed. nights. I have had a lot of school related chorus stuff the past couple weeks and a concert this week and another in two weeks. And, my whole family is coming in town this weekend for Steph's graduation and then they will all get to go to my first baby shower on Sunday! Soooo needless to say, we have lots going on!

Here is what is going on with the little guy! He is still in the papaya size range, as the fruit comparison chart has Papaya as the fruit for weeks 21-24. So he is approximately 10-11 inches and anywhere between 12-20 oz.

This is from www.baby2see.com
"Your baby does a regular 'workout' inside your womb. He or she turns from side to side and head over heels. Thanks to a fully developed inner ear, which controls balance, your baby may have a sense of whether he or she is upside-down or right side up in the womb.

Skin pigment is now forming. The fetus is now proportioned like a newborn except it is a thinner version of a newborn baby since its baby fat has not developed much yet.

The pancreas, essential in the production of hormones, is developing steadily. Baby has begun producing insulin, important for the breakdown of sugars.

If born now, your baby would have a 20% chance of survival, the odds going up with each passing day. By this week, your baby weighs a little over 1 pound (500g). Its crown to heel length is 11 inches (28cm)."
