Crawling

Over spring break we went to Michigan (which is a post in and of itself...Stomach bug!) to visit family and friends. Caden officially learned to crawl there. He had been up on his hands and knees rocking from January-February, and then it turned into what I like to call the worm. Basically him on his hands and knees, and then belly flopping a few inches forward, and repeat!

We were having a get together with some friends in Michigan and we got there, put him on the floor, and with the audience he had, he decided to show off! From then on he was crawling!

I kind of like this new stage. Yeah I have to chase him around more often, and pry him from trying to climb up the TV cabinet, or distract him with a cracker while I take away the 2 Liter soda bottle (Jared doesn't believe in cups) that he is obsessed with! But it is so much fun to watch him go. To see the things he is interested in that he just couldn't physically make his way to, until now. The best is when I am at the kitchen counter making dinner, or cleaning up and I feel little hands grasping at my ankles! This makes me smile! Or when I am sitting on the couch and suddenly a little head pops up, wanting to climb up to me!
